Our Declaration is adopted

In May 2024, participating youth organizations adopted the Global Youth Voices Declaration, establishing a common policy and advocacy framework for the movement.

The Declaration brought together shared demands on preventing addiction, comprehensive tobacco advertising, promotion and sponsorship controls, protection of policymaking from tobacco industry interference, liability and financial accountability, cigarette filters and disposable-vape plastics, polluter pays and protection of future generations.

Its adoption marked an institutional transition: GYV was no longer relying only on issue-specific statements. It now had a shared framework capable of guiding campaigns, policy engagement and future advocacy.on demands on addictive products, tobacco industry interference, environmental harm, liability, and accountability.
